|Simi Valley, CA-January 19, 2012-Veterinary Diagnostics Institute, Inc. (VDI) has released a new test that screens for canine cancer in the apparently healthy dog. As part of a routine wellness visit, INCaSe can be used to detect early stages of cancer, or confirm that the dog is cancer free.
By detecting cancer earlier more effective treatment options are available, improving prognosis. Using a proprietary dual-biomarker algorithm, VDI has developed an ultra-sensitive and highly specific test that detects malignant growth often times before any overt signs of disease are apparent.
Unique to INCaSe is its claim as an effective screening tool. To make this claim, it had to be studied for this specific intended use. In an ongoing major clinical study involving the University of Missouri, INCaSe has been shown to detect 100% of all cancers developed up to 109 days prior to the onset of visible signs. All VDI diagnostic tests are clinically studied for their specific intended use.
INCaSe will be available through Webster Veterinary Supply starting February 1, 2012. Contact Webster for ordering information.
