Dr. Cindy Maro -Medical Director
DVM, CAC, CVA, MVRT, CNAET
Dr Maro is a graduate of Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and began her career as a mixed animal practitioner for companion and farm animals. She made farm calls during the day, and in the evening, saw small animal appointments, performed surgery and advanced diagnostics, and provided emergency, wellness and internal medicine care. She also spent 8 years working in critical/emergency care.
With ongoing education and certifications, her practice evolved into a more integrative approach, utilizing western medicine and diagnostics for acute and surgical problems, while incorporating acupuncture, animal chiropractic, veterinary massage and physical therapy, essential oils, Reiki, Chinese herbology, Bach Flowers, Ozone therapy, Innovarius Sanawave, integrative oncology, Clinical Nutrition and Veterinary NAET for improved outcomes with more chronic cases.
Dr. Maro has served on the Board of Health, Big Brothers and Big Sisters Advisory Board, Board of the Beaver County Humane Society, the AVCA Board of Directors, and the AHVMA COE Board. She was the Chief of Staff at the Median School of Veterinary Technology (now VTI, Pittsburgh) and has lectured at several veterinary colleges and national conferences on integrative medicine and animal chiropractic topics. She is a regular contributing writer for the The Beaver County Times.
She has owned and built 6 veterinary clinics, and all have included full, in-house diagnostic labs, including her first practice in 1987. She has also mentored many veterinarians from around the globe, in addition to pre-vet, veterinary and vet technician students. She is currently the Chief of Staff of Cranberry Holistic Pet Care and Ellwood Animal Hospital, located north of Pittsburgh, PA.
